Allergic Reactions to Krill Oil

While Neptune Krill Oil (NKO™) is approved as safe for human consumption by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, you should not take it if you are allergic to seafood.

The major edible seafoods that can cause an allergic reaction are certain fish, mollusks and crustaceans. The krill is a crustacean.

Seafood allergy symptoms include skin rashes, asthma, upset stomach, trouble breathing and anaphylactic shock. Anaphylaxis can include a number of serious reactions from lowered blood pressure to fainting and more, and can be life-threatening.


Do not take krill oil if you're allergic to seafood.
